Doesn't know cursive writing. How is this possible I asked him. He said they didn't teach it at his school. What?!
He has to be lying right? They still teach cursive writing in school I'm sure. I questioned him further. How do you sign your name? I print it he replies. This kid has got to be pulling my leg.
He goes on to say that handwriting is stupid anyways and that especially for doctor's prescriptions and other things it's better if handwriting be completely eradicated. Cause from person to person it's so difficult to read at times.
I know a lot of kids are doing their homework on ipads or laptops etc but they must still be required to learn handwriting right?
It exercises the brain and it's better for taking notes in college rather than printing.
I still don't know if this kid was just playing. I know the schools today are focusing on technology skills for kids. Using computers and other devices but there must be a place for handwriting? Or maybe handwriting is a thing of the past where it was convenient at the time giving the tools we had at our disposal. Or Didn't have.
I don't know. Apparently there's many people, even young adults that don't know how to handwrite.
It's strange to me.
Random thought. Who cares I guess.
I guess that's one less way a criminal will get caught these days. Can't determine anything by their handwriting if all the threatening letters, ransom notes etc were typed out.
